Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 國語文學系碩士班 === 99 === This study aims to develop a simple and easy evaluation test for Chinese language measure word acquisition with good reliability and validity. The current Chinese textbooks used at the Chinese language departments in Vietnam universities are collected. Through classification, statistic, and expert validation revisions, the evaluation test is developed. The study is conducted with the tests of 125 students from grade 2 to grade 4, studying at the two Chinese language departments in Hochiminh city. Through testing and analyzing the students’ measure word acquisition, the study is hypothesized for studies related to measure word issues and Chinese language proficiency. The study could be useful for teachers in recognizing students with low Chinese language proficiency in short time in order to help the students getting over their Chinese language difficulties as well as select the suitable textbooks for students in learning Chinese language. The main findings of the study are as follow, 1.The evaluation test developed has good reliability and validity. 2.Through one-way ANOVA analysis, the evaluation test demonstrates the power to distinguish the differences in measure word acquisition and Chinese language proficiency in the students who are different grades. The power of the distinction of differences is increased from grade 2 to grade 4. 3.The study also shows that if the students know how to use Chinese measure words in Chinese language, it could predict the Chinese language proficiency of international students. Finally, suggestions from the results and for the future studies were provided. Keywords: Measure Word; Chinese language proficiency; Reliability; Validity; Vietnamese students.
