of senior high school and vocational high school teachers in Tainan City, and to realize the
situation between anticipation and reality, difference and correlation. Questionnaire survey
of 420 senior high school and vocational high school teachers in Tainan City. The findings
of this study are as follows:(1)More than half of senior high school and vocational high
school teachers do not have sufficient knowledge on students counseling and insufficient in
professional training.(2)It is stronger in professional counseling ethics but weaker to
practice.(3)The ethics of “dual relationship” and “intimate relationship” are comparatively
indistinct.(4)The teachers who graduated from counseling related departments or teaching
in public vocational high schools are stronger in professional counseling ethics.(5)The
professional counseling ethics of student’s rights, female teachers are superior to male
teachers. The teachers graduated from counseling related departments are superior to the
teachers graduated from counseling departments. The teachers accepted professional
counseling training are superior to teachers who never accepted any counseling training.(6)
The professional counseling ethics of professional responsibility, the teachers accepted
professional counseling training in one week are superior to teachers who never accepted
any counseling training.(7)The professional counseling ethics of network counseling, the
public vocational high school teachers are superior to the private vocational high school
teachers.(8)There is a positive relation between anticipation and reality in professional
counseling ethics. It tends to positive in anticipation, and practice in reality.
