The mediator effect of one major transportation project on community attachment, quality of life and tourism impact is also examined. The perceptions of residents regarding the tourism impacts, which include economic, social-culture and environment, are also collected and analyzed by questionnaires. According to the results, the main conclusions are: (1) the residents’ community attachments tended to be positive correlated with quality of life; (2) the residents’ community attachments tended to be positive correlated with tourism impact; and (3) the major transportation project really plays a mediating role on the relationship between community attachment, quality of life and tourism impact.
