Three hundred confidential questionnaires were used to analyze the differences of elders spending time on the hiking in the trials, hanging out in the parks, and studying in the learning facilities. The data was analyzed by described statistics,-Test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffeme method, and TukeyHSD method. The findings of this study: First, the majority are female. In terms of leisure space obstruction, there is no difference between men and women. Second, the majority are people aged from 55 to 59. The elderly aged over 70 are happier, more cheerful, yet concerned about their physical stamina, noises at the scene, and unexpected illnesses. Third, the majority are primary school and junior high graduates. They would take the opportunity to meet friends and relatives, as well as make new acquaintances, go close to the nature, and stimulate the minds. As for the high school graduates, they consider leisure places as the locations for holding other events. For leisure space obstruction, no difference can be found between the educational degrees. Fourth, the majority are laborers. They believe leisure activities are access to the nature; while the businessmen, military personnels, civil servants and teachers are concerned about retirement. Fifth, the majority are attenders at the frequency of once a week. They are more concerned about weather changes. For the more frequent attenders of once to twice a week, they acclaim the leisure spaces as well-planned. Sixth, the majority are retirees. They worry about weather changes. Those who has not retired also worry about the weather, the physical ability and family care. For leisure space obstruction, there is no difference between the retired and unretired. Seventh, the majority are the healthy people. They believe they can enjoy more of solitary moments, yet like those close with bad health, they prefer going to the nature too. Eighth, the majority are people who live with their spouces. They consider themselves as more well-tempered, and share more of the leisure pleasures with their spouces. Those who live alone concern about states of road, but the also consider themselves to be well-tempered. Those who live with children or friends believe they may encounter friends and relatives while attending leisure activities, but they are also concerned of physical ability, weather changes and family care. Ninth, the majority are Taoists and Buddists. They feel more cheerful, expect to meet friends and relatives, there are other commercial activities in leisure spaces, and are more frugal. Those who have no religeous faith concern more about physical ability, weather changes and family care. They are more responsible for families, and less easy to find companies for leisure activities. The Catholics and the Christians become happier and well-tempered. In terms of leisure space obstruction, the silver-haired in Nangang District can be classified into three groups according to their concerns: lack of companions, weather changes, and unexpected illness. In the mountain trails and at the parks and green lands, the silver-haired in Nangang District can come close to the nature, stimulate the minds, meet friends, relatives and make new acquaintances. They can acquire knowledges at the parks, green lands, and keep good temper at the learning facilities. What’s more, there are commercial activities around. Silver-haired in Nangang District concern more about retirement while in the parks and green lands, about noises at the mountain trails, but they are more frugal. Finally, according to the results of the research, we suggest the governmen manages and maintains the leisure space in order to rebuild the Qing Dynasty and the Japanese occupation of leisure space.
