Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 課程與教學研究所 === 99 === Abstract The purpose of this thsis is to discuss students’ learning outcome by using extended learning material, workbooks, among all other electronic material. The purpose is to discuss the learning attitude and learning effectiveness of elementary school fourth graders in Science and Life Technology by using different learning media, electronic workbook and hardcopy workbook, and applying workbook teaching platform. Quasi-experimental design was applied as the research method. The subjects were the 52 fourth graders from two classes in an elementary school in Taipei City. The duration of the “electronic workbook” teaching demonstration was 12 classes. The workbook platform designed and used in the research is an interactive platform. It was divided into student interface, teacher interface and management interface. The objective was to let students learn from the workbook platform and carry out the “Learning Attitude Scale for Science,” “Learning Effectiveness Scale for Science” and “Attitude Scale for Electronic Workbook” tests. The summarized results and the conclusion are shown below: 1. After the teaching demonstration, the students who used “electronic workbook” are significantly improved in their learning effectiveness for Science than those who used “hardcopy workbook.” 2. The students using “electronic workbook” have advanced greatly in learning attitudes for Science than those who using “hardcopy workbook.” 3. The “workbook platform” for students and teachers is an efficient tool featured for its design and application. The electronic workbook content, the question design and the student’s learning process record increased the convenience for teachers to go over and comment on the workbook and promoted students’ motivations to learn new knowledge on their own initiative. 4. Students had positive and affirmative attitudes toward the use of “electronic workbook” and platform. They believed their understanding for the teaching content can be enhanced and their learning willingness for Science can be increased through the assistance of “electronic workbook” and platform. According to the research results described above, we carried out further discussion and put forward proposals for reference for future electronic workbook and platform assisted Science teaching and research.
