Then he founded radical curriculum theory which raised above Resistance theory. It integrates the viewpoints of postmodernism and cultural studies. Giroux established cultural politics which made pedagogic and politics link closely. And it also develops a new field of view of curriculum theories.The main purpose of cultural politics is to make the pedagogical more political and the political more pedagogical.That means inserting schooling directly into the political sphere by arguing that schooling represents both a struggle to define meaning and a struggle over power relations. Not only the characteristic of dialectical power is emphasized, but also the good use of positive power is made.Students are seen as critical agents and knowledge becomes problematic, utilize critical, and affirming dialogue. Besides, it stands for teachers should be transformative intellectuals to found a curriculum theory involves both language of critique and language of possibility. So that it could provide students not only defying the tactics and crossing the fixed borders, but also making the different voices from different backgrounds be heard. Furthermore, it raises the critique consciousness and acts out the conversion of social structure as well.The final purpose is to emancipate the independence of human beings and to form a defied action which is organized, objective, and ideal to change the injustice of the society.
