| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 藝術與造形設計學系碩士班 === 99 === This thesis, titled Duets for Woods and Light, has been produced with the aims of drawing attention to our hometown and expressing the affection for the land through description of Mother Nature.
This thesis comprises five chapters. Chapter one, Introduction, describes the motivation, purpose, methodology, and procedure of this research. Chapter two, Literature review, explores the theoretical backgrounds, emotional origin and presentation of art works.
The author states her aesthetic philosophy of oil paining and how nature touches her heart in Chapter three, this chapter also explains the rationale of the series of work, “ Duets for Woods and Light ”. Chapter four clarifies the implementation of author’s art work. The touching moments of life are the resources of her work. This chapter also analyzes and discusses the work even further to make the author’s intention and spirits clearer and more understood by the readers.
Chapter five, Conclusion, includes the author’s reflection and self-criticism about her own work research, provides plans and prospective routes for her future development of art works, and hopefully serves as reference for other researchers of art works.
Based upon close observation of nature and life, while maintaining a sensitive mind and honest retrospection, works of depth and compassion can be expected.
