Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 社會學系 === 99 === This study is to find out the effect of the teenagers’ part-time job on their deviant behavior. We want to investigate whether「personal factors」and「family factors」 can influence the result or not. In this study,「Personal factors」are sex, living area, school type and individual characteristics etc. 「Family factors」are the present situation of parents’ marriage, family economy, the ways of parents’ discipline, pocket money and the relationship with parents. The objects for this study are the high school students in Taipei City, Taipei County and Ilan selected by the multistage cluster sampling from Taiwan Youth Project (TYP) by their data which collected when they were third graders in junior high schools. The data set used for this study is a rich longitudinal youth data. The three models in the study are : Model one is to investigate the effect on the deviant behaviors ( include smoking, drinking, troubles making, running away home, skipping classes, fighting and drug taking etc). Model two is to investigate the effect on smoking and drinking. Model three is to investigate the effect on other deviant behaviors like running away home, skipping classes and fighting. The article will be through logistic regression analysis to explore the effects in these three models. The results show that the experiences of part-time job, sex and school type have significant differences on the deviant behaviors. The male teenagers with experiences of part-time job in colleges or vocational schools have high probability to have the deviant behaviors. Besides, the relation with their fathers and the discipline attitude of their mothers also can affect their deviant behaviors. The result of the study is important for the teenagers who have the part-time jobs. From the result, the researcher gives some advice for teenagers, schools, parents, government and the future reaches. We must pay more attention and do more researches on the teenagers who do the part-time job.
