Study objects were all the senior aboriginal citizens above 55 years of age in Yan-Ping shiang of Taitung county. 210 copies of questionnaire were issued and 207 effective copies were obtained. After descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, multiple stepwise regression analysis conclusions were obtained as following: (1) Entertainment type recreation activities were most popular, and then leisure type recreation activities, physical strength and social type recreation activities less in sequence. (2) In perceived recreation benefits aspect, physiological benefit was best, and then psychological benefit and educational benefit in sequence. (3) There existed clearly different in physiological activities, recreational activities, entertaining activities, social activities and knowledge type activities among different age and educational level (status). Different gender was eminent different in social type activities, and marital status indicated significantly difference in both leisure type recreation activities and social type recreation activities, and except knowledge type activities there existed clearly different among diversified health condition. (4) In perceived recreational benefit aspect, there existed obvious educational benefit, psychological benefit and physiological benefit among diversified age, educational degree and health condition. (5) The higher participating frequency the higher perceived recreational benefit in various physical strength type, recreational type and entertaining type activities, and have positive tendency, in background variable we found that the higher age the less in perceived educational benefit.
