Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 美術產業碩士學位在職進修專班 === 99 === The east coast of Taiwan is next to the Pacific Ocean. Every year the Kuroshio Current, which is the world’s second largest ocean current, flows through the sea east of Taiwan. Plenty of migratory fish follow the Kuroshio Current and migrate northward, which brings people abundant valuable marine resources in east Taiwan. One of the most important species that come from the marine resources of Kuroshio Current is sailfish. Therefore, sailfish is a kind of specialty in east Taiwan fisheries. An artist’s idea originates from daily life. The author of this thesis has lived in Taitung for nine consecutive years. As the knowledge of east Taiwan increases, the energy and passion of art creation rise just like a gushing fountain. Accordingly, it is an excellent opportunity to record the special topic of east marine sailfish, by means of artistic creation. From the review of art history, the pursuits of visual art changes from time to time. At the very beginning, people stressed the basic elements of shape, space and color, and then steadily added new elements such as perspective, hues, composition and text, etc. After the development of Impressionism, people started to seek the essence of art. In modern times, the spirit of Simple Aesthetics just matches the desire, hence Simple Aesthetics began to spread. Recently, people have tried to combine eastern imagination together with Simple Aesthetics because the significance of Asian Art increases gradually. This not only becomes a type of design principle, but also can be applied to practical daily life. Consequently, how to combine the materials of existing cultures with the trends of the future will be a potential topic to study. In this thesis, the creation of art work originates from the concept of “Sailfish Imagination” and is expressed by using the technique of acrylic paint. Through painting we hope to render the imagination of sailfish and marine cultures, moreover, to discuss the relationship between human and nature.
