Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 華語文學系 === 99 === A study regard for senior students’ Native Language Learning Motivation and Attitude of Elementary School in Pingtung County Huang chiung-hui Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the present situation and interrelation about senior students’ native language learning motivation and attitude of elementary school in Pingtung County and the differences within variables of environment and background. The researcher adapted questionnaire which was developed from “ The Questionnaire of Pingtung County Elementary School senior students Dialects Learning Motivation and Attitude”. The population was fifth and sixth graders of Pingtung county. Using stratified and random sampling to obtain effective samples were 1014 in total. The result was analyzed via descriptive statistics, T-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation. The findings were described as below: 1. The learning motivation of dialects of Pingtung County Elementary School senior students is medium to high degree, and the “intrinsic motivation” got the higher score. 2. The learning motivation of dialects of Pingtung County Elementary School senior students is medium to low degree, and the “attitude of respect for dialects” got the higher score. 3. The learning motivation of dialects of Pingtung County Elementary School senior students who are aborigine, living with some race and small-scale schools is stronger. 4. The learning motivation of dialects of Pingtung County Elementary School senior students who are Southern Min, aborigine, living with some race and small-scale schools is more positive. 5. The result showed that the stronger students’ native language learning motivation, the better their attitude, on the contrary, the weaker learning motivation, the more negative learning attitude. The conclusion of this study could provide as reference for educational authorities, administration, instructors and further studies in the future.
