The influence of the awareness of paternalistic leadership and participation motivation on team cohesion of the sports teams in the elementary schools in Yilan County

碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 進修部暑期體育碩士班 === 99 === This research aimed to realize the present situation of the awareness of paternalistic leadership, participation motivation and team cohesion on sports team in elementary schools, and explore the differences and relationship of the awareness of paternalistic leadership, participation motivation and team cohesion, and then analyze how predictable the awareness of paternalistic leadership and the participation motivation are to the team cohesion. The samples in this research are students selected from the sports teams in elementary schools in Yilan County. 515 surveys were released, of which, 495 effective ones were collected; 20 were disused. The response rate of the effective surveys is 96.12%.A questionnaire on the effect the awareness of paternalistic leadership and participation leadership make on the team cohesion was used as a data collecting tool.The approach used in this research is questionnaire investigation. All the samples are analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson r and multiple regression according to the purposes of the research. The main findings are concluded as following:1. The extent between the awareness of paternalistic leadership, participation motivation and team cohesion on sports team in elementary schools showed in this research is high .2. The differences in different variables of the awareness of paternalistic leadership, participation motivation and team cohesion on sports team are: (1) Most part of the students with different background variables showed significant difference in the awareness of paternalistic leadership. (2) part of the students with different background variables showed significant difference in participation motivation. (3) Most part of the students with different background variables showed significant difference in team cohesion. 3. there is a significantly positive correlation between paternalistic leadership and team cohesion, as well as between participation motivation and paternalistic leadership.4. Paternalistic leadership reveals predictability in team cohesion. Generally speaking,
