However, apart from the external impact of scientific and technological progress, the Taiwan film makers should think whether the core values of Taiwan's film meet consumer demand. Another point, as compared to Taiwan's population in the United States, India, China and other places it is much, viewing films from the population unable to support the normal operation of the market, so the whole film industry is not the way to large-scale operation, there is not enough consumer, financial, human resources, etc., in such circumstances, Taiwan's film production company has only to be in the form of small business operators, and even there are many personal studio. This study will affect the possibility of Taiwan's film industry is divided into first, the external environment and internal factors, external environment includes policies and regulations, general economic conditions as well as entertainment, culture, consumer habits, in addition to the financial crisis in 2008 because of factors which fall shown in this part of the overall situation in Taiwan have shown growth trend, while the internal factors are the source of funds, production processes, video quality, it can be seen in this part, due to lack of proper financing, resulting in many movies production side cannot move forward, yet the film does not take advantage of this development stage, that is, to modify the script and market research, the associated video quality suffered and not just poor box office, also contributed to the rampant illegal viewing. In view of Taiwan, the external environment, through the value chain analysis of the lack of film production in Taiwan part of them, and use of SWOT and Five Forces analysis to find internal and external have the ability and competitiveness, was found by its own film industry in Taiwan instability is therefore in a weak state, not competitive, and therefore cannot in general competitive strategy and other film industry to confront, however, there is indeed a Taiwan film industry is changing, though the film directors raising money by themselves to produce a film still exist. But more and more film production methods form producers’ point of view, production companies are willing to try to invest the new generation directors, directors and producers try to cooperate, the case of international co-production appears, which means Taiwan film industry is in a slow progress toward the new production style. Taiwan film industry because of continued strong foreign films are the reasons for the invasion, making the box-office market for nearly 20 years, are occupied by foreign films, particularly the cost of making Hollywood films, Taiwan film cannot compete with, the lack of needed resources such as funding, the link between human and departments, there is no way to shape the film's core competencies in Taiwan, so urgent, is the first Taiwanese film cultivate their own constitution, change the production aspects of a fracture, and the ability of producers attention to the provision of appropriate respect, in addition to self-financing grants and directors, we also learn to use different financing tools, such as Completion Bond, auxiliary production companies looking for funding.
