Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 電子工程系 === 99 === In this thesis, a 3-D camera system based on the low-cost off-the-shelf COMS sensors is described. This system consists of 2 CMOS image sensors, FPGA, USB interface controller. It can get dual-view images and combine them into one image by FPGA and send the picture via USB controller to the PC system. After the PC system captures the images, the video stream is converted to the 3-D format complied to NVIDIA definition so that the final 3-D stream can be viewed from NVIDIA 3-D vision set. This 3-D camera system faces issues such as 2-sensor synchronization, alignment, auto focus, auto white balance, and auto exposure. We have solved all these in the implementation of the system. Especially, we devise a scheme to combat the problem of synchronization of two low-cost CMOS sensors. Also we design verilog code into FPGA to combine the two images and related adjustments. The result is that we completed a low-cost and simple workable 3-D camera system.
