Dimension deviations in radial direction and axial run-out are key factors to the quality as well as the tool life of those saw blades. This study has successfully developed an inspection system to examine the critical geometry of saw blades. In this Research, A non-contact optical measuring system acquires the image from part of saw blade, and an image process algorithm has been developed to capture the defect and size from the raw blades The measuring system develops by this work composes of three parts: Mechanism module, control system module and machine vision module. Base on the analysis of the raw blade, a graphic interface and image process algorithm has been develop for the operation of intelligence system.
