It will be great if there are devices that can help these people go out without worrying about their joints. Nevertheless, at the moment there is no such assistive device and to help those in needs, this study designed a sport assistive device that can store energy and offer a buffer effect based on some mechanical principles. This study employed computer aided design software and finite element analysis software for simulating analysis and size designing. The authors first developed a store energy device, a buffer spring and a loosening device. Next, assembled these components to make a prototype of the energy-storing and buffer assistive device. When pressing down the sport assistive device designed by the users, the generated energy will be stored by the spring component, so the user will feel more comfortable. In addition, this design can provide the user with force to support and to push upward. As a result, the user can do sports more freely. The fixtures are connected by bearing, so when the user is wearing the aid, users can still stretch or bend the lower limbs easily. In other words, the overall flexibility of the user is unaffected.
