Being green, or sustainable, is critically challenging work of both constructional and architectural personnel. To assess how green, or sustainable, the building is, a variety of green building rating systems have been developed. However, designing one building which has capability to satisfy all criteria of two or more standards simultaneously is an extreme complicated work. This study presented a new general connection framework between the LEED standard of United States and the EEWH standard of Taiwan. By using the proposed framework, the architects and engineers may find several feasible design strategies based on both of LEED and EEWH rating systems. Energy conservation, one of the primary issues in any green building rating system, was specifically analyzed in this study. A LEED-based approximate function that can link to energy conservation index of the EEWH was established to estimate building energy usage as a whole. The result showed that the proposed approach has potential not only for reducing the design effort through a top-down methodology but also for finding an optimal alternative based on both of LEED and EEWH standards. none 呂守陞 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 117 en_US
