Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 應用外語系 === 99 === The author focuses on the translation approaches adopted in the Terminology of PCB and PCBA by a Taiwanese authoritative expert, analyzes diversified protocols and compares their backgrounds. To discuss translating strategies used in Terminology of PCB and PCBA and to examine their effectiveness on the readers’ understanding of the Chinese translations of printed circuit board terminology, the study probes into translation approaches adopted in the printed circuit board industry, as well as reflections from readers and selected experts. The analysis stemming from the reader-centered philosophy tends to illustrate the cross-cultural factors and business or political differences that translators may encounter. By paralleling the main subject, Terminology of PCB and PCBA, with the other two important standards in the printed circuit board industry, The Defects and Causes of Electronic Circuit Boards and Acceptability of Printed Boards (IPC-A-600G), the research demonstrates an overall provides an overall description of translation research conducted on circuit electronic terminology. By offering a clear profile of how target groups acknowledge printed circuit board translations, this study reveals varied translations and focuses on target readers’ direct feedback towards these different wordings of technical terms and defect illustrations.
