Digital watermarking is an important technique for copyright protection of content. However, it is difficult to implement a robust watermarking scheme. In this paper, we propose a robust digital watermarking scheme which hybrids discrete wavelet transform and singular value decomposition. The edge information in an image is utilized to embed the watermark. In addition, the particle swarm optimization technique is used to search the appropriate scaling factor. Experimental results are provided to illustrate that the proposed approach is able to withstand a variety of image-processing attacks.
