The frequency response function is also obtained and based on modal analysis. Exporting the frequency response function of vibration signals of measured objects by the spectrum analysis instrument, the modal analysis procedures can be performed. The main goal of this thesis is to use vibration and signal processing theory to develop the hardware and software to simulate the spectrum analysis instrument for vibration modal analysis. This investigation uses the NI LabVIEW software to control the interface and the appropriate acquisition hardware (NI-9233 or 9234) to act as the spectrum analysis instrument. The analysis programs are constructed by NI LabVIEW to carry out the experiment data and import the data to modal analysis software (ME''scope) to perform the curve fitting. The natural modal frequency of the structure can be calculated and compared with the existing spectrum analysis instrument (LDS-Photon II) and finite element numerical analysis softwares. Finally, the modal parameters of the experimental structures are discussed to understand the vibration characteristics of the measured objects.
