The purpose and the meaning of what a security guard is has remained the same—all to protect customers’ lives and property. People want to have a safe living environment and protect their possessions, resulting in the existing value and meaning of the private security guard industry. The selection of a private security guard company and security guards directly affects the living quality of an apartment building’s residents. Therefore, how to raise security guard quality in order to increase resident satisfaction is an important research topic. This research explored the influence of private security guard’s personality traits on satisfaction level of apartment building residents. This study employed a questionnaire survey method and 603 valid questionnaires are used frequency distribution, reliability analysis, validity analysis, Pearson coefficient of correlation, and linear regression statistical methods. Research results indicated that agreeableness, conscientiousness, extraversion, emotional stability, and openness to experience personality traits of the private security guards have a significantly positive influence on resident satisfaction.
