碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 社會工作與兒童少年福利學系 === 99 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the reasons of fathers who as the primary caregivers of children with developmental delay, their mentality of care process, and the caring experience. By semi-structured interview guide to collect the information from the five fathers with developmental delay children and who live in Central Region. Through the qualitative research methods, analyzed and the data.Part of the study results, researcher try to summarization and induction the five respondents the experience of caring. Enters the synthesis discussion, and compares with the related literature. When interview data compilation, the researcher by “the Basic Background”, “the Attention Experience”, the Use Resources' Experience” and “the Influence Use Resources' Factor” four directions classifies the description.Analyzed respondent's past experience of life. Accorded to research, researcher summarized three levels, including “reasons of paternal involvement of fathers”, “mentality of care process” and “ experience in the use of resources”. Researcher try to combine the data and theories. Finally, according to the results, some suggestions are offered to the “family of children with developmental delay”, “Practitioners” , and “policy” three fields.
