To make this routing (mapping) survivable is an important challenge. A mapping is called survivable if no single physical link failure can disconnect the logical topology. In this paper we present SMLP, a survivable mapping algorithm by link protection. We show that our simple algorithm can produce better results than current state-of-the-art algorithm.
