Summary:碩士 === 東吳大學 === 社會學系 === 99 === The main purpose of this study: Children of new immigrant women in the social construction of gender roles and social support / life adaptation. Study used purposive sampling, the first stage is taken into account gender balance and urban-rural differences. Because in the island of Taiwan, the largest number of new immigrants is Taipei City and New Taipei City. The smallest is Taitung County. Therefore, these three areas are samples. The second stage, snowball method to identify compliance requirements: 12-18 years old children of new immigrant women. Then the outline depth interviews based on interviews, from the interview and finds out important research information. The major findings of this study were as following: 1. It is argured that children of new immigrant women in terms of social construction of gender roles in both showing androgyny of the social construction of gender roles. 2. There are four main types of the children of new immigrant women in the social support / life adaptation. 3. Prejudice and discrimination, family economic resources and residential areas will affect the children of new immigrant women in the support and adaptation. 4. The family is the key for the children of new immigrant women to adapt and inclusion. Finally, this study discussed these findings and proposed some suggestions. It also addressed further research directions in the future.
