Summary:碩士 === 東吳大學 === 音樂學系 === 99 === Des Knaben Wunderhorn (or The Youth’s Magic Horn), is the outcome of the folk song collection. During the golden age of the Romanticism Era, composers made the themes on the basis of folk music to highlight their forthright and sincere individualism. Johannes Brahms made Des Knaben Wunderhorn as the lyrics which possessed of folk music style songs. In this thesis, we first classify the reference, and then check the original songs and poetry. We found out 23 of the Brahms songs were originated from Des Knaben Wunderhorn. And we illustrate the mixed part of these two masterpieces. Next, we classify the most used terms of Des Knaben Wunderhorn in Brahms songs into five different segments. Brahms made two to four new pieces or different works based on the same poem. Then we make research on them separately, and we also use forms to compare the characteristics of the different pieces. We make deep discuss on music and lyrics at the final part of the thesis. In music part, we have sub-items including the originated eras, the music ingredients, and the composing methods. While in lyrics part, we analyze the subjects, the forms, the origins of the lyrics, and the transaction of the lyrics.
