However, in the film Suicide Letter, it reveals the positive values of self-reflection and self-identity through the deep reflection upon oneself in the writing process. In addition, there is a complex relationship between the two main characters in the script – the writer and Xin-Yu Li, whose were writing about each other and intersubjectivity.
Based on Mikhail Bakhtin’s theory, this paper provides a complete analysis and discussion for the ambiguity and multiplicity of the context, characters, plot and narrative in the film Suicide Letter.
