Description
Summary:碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 電機工程系 === 99 === This research is to apply Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Radio to design a set of wheelchair positioning system to be used in hospitals. This system will allow the health care personnel to know whether the wheelchair is in use or not and to locate the area where the wheelchair is put. Such function will enable the health care personnel precisely control the use and location of the wheelchair; besides, the patients may use the service bell with the radio. The health care personnel will know whether the wheelchair is in use or not through the infrared detector installed under the cushion of the wheelchair. This system will be installed on the wheelchair through the passive RFID tag to let the health care personnel locate the site of the wheelchair precisely. The service bell on the wheelchair can be connected to the main system by wireless transmission and the site of all service bells will be shown on the plan of the main system. There is an emergency call button equipped on the wheelchair to allow the patients to call for help from the nurses whenever the patients are feeling not well. Besides, there is a corresponding infrared detector system installed on the cushion of the wheelchair that when the users of the wheelchair have left the wheelchair due to being fallen, left or under normal circumstances, this system will automatically send a signal to the main body through radio transmission system to allow the health care personnel to go over to check if the patient has been fallen from or not in use of the wheelchair.
