Description
Summary:碩士 === 南台科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 99 === Aiming at the drawbacks of manual wheelchairs, this study tends to design a “new auxiliary driving device with retract function”, which can be mounted onto a manual wheelchair. With a simple and economical way, it is expected to promote the common manual wheelchairs to become“perfect manual/electrical wheelchairs”. With Top-Down Design thinking, the design specifications are directly imported to a Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software, Autodesk Inventor, for design and analyses. It therefore could reduce the design time and enhance the correctness and the conscientiousness of such a design. Having ANSYS Workbench software and Inventor to precede analyses and comparisons, the reliability of the design and the analyses in the single software (CADD) are further verified. After completing the design and then implementing and testing the prototype, the results comply with the design specifications and international standards regulations for electrical wheelchairs. Moreover, the performance and the parameters are superior to previous inventions. The“new auxiliary driving device with retract function”applies the innovative design of oblique linear actuator, which could simply switch the manual/electrical drive modes, to promoting the common manual wheelchairs to manual/electrical wheelchairs. The contributions contain (1) the improvement of the drive system of iii manual wheelchairs, (2) the solution to the problems of electrical wheelchair in exercise rehabilitation and endurance, (3) the conformity to the demands of wheelchairs uses in medium income family, and (4) the provision of a care and rehabilitation project for the aged.
