The question and answer sheet that I designed includes the following groups of factors : Faculty & Techniques of Teaching, Curriculum & Teaching Materials, Practical Training & Equipment, Learning Results and Achievement, and other factors, to analyze if the learning satisfaction of the different backgrounds of the students of hospitality major in vocational high schools of the area Chiayi are very different in reacting to above different factors. Hopefully this study is benefit in the strengthening and in improving the education programs of hospitality major in high schools. The objects of this study are the third –grade students in regular classes of Day Hospitality come from six high schools in Chiayi, a total of 1075 people. A total of 1075 questionnaires were issued, 871 questionnaires were returned, let’s say the rate of return is 81%. Among them, a total of 811 questionnaires were valid. Using descriptive statistical analysis, factor analysis, t test, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe method and Pearson’s product-moment correlation analysis and other statistical methods, I have more understanding in the difference analysis on the information regarding the learning satisfaction related to the factors and the different background of students. The results of my study shows that (1) there is a significant difference in different genders of the students regarding to the rate of satisfaction in Curriculum & Teaching. Boys has higher satisfaction than girls. (2) In the group of the students who are major in Hospitality Management of the vocational high school stage of Chiayi area, the different ways of entrance reflects their satisfaction in Learning Results and Achievement. The majority way of entrance is by ‘basic test,’ accounting for 54.6%. (3) The majority of students have gotten the Hospitality licenses in grade C. Among them, one of the grade C licenses which is named Chinese Cooking has higher ownership by the students. And those who has any Hospitality licenses gets more critical aspects in schools' Curriculum & Teaching Materials. (4) The satisfaction in Practical Training & Equipment differs from whether or not the experience of work or part-time job. (5) Different "parents’ education level" reflects the outcome in learning satisfaction of the students and exists significant differences. Different "father's education level" infects the students’ satisfaction in Training & Equipment. Different " mother's education level" infects the students’ satisfaction in Curriculum & Teaching Materials, and so does in Learning Results & Achievement. With more emphasis on the arrangements of school in regarding Curriculum & Teaching Materials, mothers with higher education have more concerned about the practicality of curriculum. (6) Different "average monthly income of household" does not exist significant differences among the students in respect of overall satisfaction. The subjects are all students of private schools, which means the tuition fees are more expensive than the public schools. The students in private schools have to pay for the clothing for the practical courses, the materials, and test fees…… in addition to high tuition fees. With the fact that 61.3% of our subjects has average monthly income of household in the level under forty thousands, this situation should be a problem for schools and education-related units to pay attention to. (7) The learning satisfaction of Vocational Hospitality group of students has high correlationship with all four major respects such as Faculty and Techniques of Teaching, Curriculum and Teaching Materials, Practical Training and Equipment, and Learning Results & Achievement. The overall learing satisfaction of the subjects that I study tend to located in "satisfied", and they show their highest satisfactory in Learning Results & Achievement. The benefits of my research are: (1) Reduce the dropout rate(2) Reduce the course failure(3) Make students to have a better learning environment (4) Enhance good learning results of students.This tool that I am using is to get the assessment results of students’ learning satisfaction in order to have more understanding in the point of view of the students, then this evaluation will be a very good reference for further planning and improving the quality of education. This will help in improving the quality of teaching and in improving the students’ learning satisfaction, and will reduce the students’ dropouts in order not to cause social problems.
