A Study on Leisure Involvement, Experiential Value and Well-being of Leisure Farms Visitors in Pingtung Area

碩士 === 大仁科技大學 === 休閒健康管理研究所 === 99 === This research was on the relationships between leisure involvement, its experiential value, and the well-being of visitors to the leisure farms in the Pingtung, Taiwan area. This study provided 520 questionnaires for 13 leisure farms based on administrative districts in Pingtung area. 409 valid ones were generated after excluding incomplete questionnaires. The valid return rate was 94%. Descriptive statistics, t-test, Pearson product-moment correlation analysis, canonical correlation analysis, one-way ANOVA, and factor analysis and other statistical methods for data analysis were employed. The following conclusions were drawn to respond the questions of this study: 1. Pingtung leisure farm visitors are mostly 20 to 29 year-old female service industry employees, who were college or university graduates with an average income of less than 20,000 TWD per month. 2. The most agreeable leisure involvement for the Pingtung leisure farm visitors was “It is important for me to visit a leisure farm.” Moreover, “self-expression” was the most influenced factor of the leisure involvement. 3. The most agreeable experiential value for the Pingtung leisure farm visitors was “Visiting a leisure farm makes me relax.” Aesthetic value was the most influenced factor of the experiential value. 4. The most agreeable well-being for the Pingtung leisure farm visitors was “Visiting a leisure farm makes me happy.”. “self-realization” was the most influenced among the well-being factors. 5. There were significant relationships between leisure involvement and well-being of the Pingtung leisure farm visitors. 6. There were significant relationships between experiential value and well-being of the Pingtung leisure farm visitors. 7. According to canonical correlation analysis, the well-being of the Pingtung leisure farm visitors was significantly positively influenced by leisure involvement and experiential value.
