There are 100 subjects in total, including fifty boys and fifty girls, and was divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group was given a 50-minute training each time, twice a week, and the training lasts for twelve weeks. The control group was not given any training. The subjects had undergone tests concerning BMI, Flexibility, Muscular Endurance/ Stamina, Power, and Cardiorespiratory Fitness. This study adopted independent samples t-test to analyze pre-test data in order to find out whether students of experimental group and those of control group had the same quality. The t-test was used to examine the differences of two groups by analyzing pre-test and post-test data. The output of the independent samples t-test served to indicate degrees of improvement on each test item concerned with physical fitness. This study set its measurement of significance asα=.05, and after discussion, we came to the conclusion as follows: The twelve-week swimming program had a great improvement on Cardiorepiratory Fitness.
