On the other hand, since the digital multimedia is easy to store, transmit, and reproduce, it has become a pressing problem to ensure security of digital video images and to protect the legitimate rights for the owner. In 2006, Lin et al. proposed a Full-Band Image Watermarking method, in which the Distributed Discrete Wavelet Transformation works with the Singular Value Decomposition digital watermarking method, to transform original image data from the spatial domain into the frequency domain by using the former technique, and then obtains singular values of sub-band from applying eatter technique to produce watermarked images that resist a variety of image tampering attacks. Digital watermarking is commonly used in protection of the intellectual property. Watermark information is embedded into data by their owners, and if the digital media are duplicated or used without suitable authorization, the watermark information can be extracted from the digital media by the owners as evidences of the ownership In this thesis, the Full-Band Image Watermark method implemented in two different ways and results of them could be compared. If the watermark is embedded into different locations, the reconstructed watermarks obtained from the stego-image have different quality. We also applied the Full-Band Image Watermark method in grayscale images. It shows that the quality of the grayscale stego-image also has the same resistance as does color stego-image.
