People are fascinated mainly by its excellent properties of corrosion resistance、cleanability、forming and machining ability. Nowadays, people have further desire of expecting stainless steel with the antibacterial property so as to be able to extend its application to the hygienic-concerned areas such as food industries, water supplying systems, and medical facilities. This study adopted Optical Microscope、X-ray Diffraction、Scanning Electron Microscopy、Energy Dispersive Spectrometer and Potentiostat for analyzing the microstructure and corrosion resistance for various advance-planned SUS 316 stainless steel with addition of silver element of 0.02wt.%、0.1wt.%、0.3wt.%、0.5wt.% accordingly. As to the antibacterial property, it was tested under the specification of JIS Z2801. The test results showed the alloy matrix is consisted of γ-austenite, δ-ferrite, silver particles or silver oxide and other inclusions like Cr, Si. With a trace amount of silver 0.02wt.% addition the alloy sample obtained a mild bacterial inhibiting rate 56.3%. As the addition level up to 0.3wt.% the antibacterial rate on Esherichia coli can reach almost 99%. Meanwhile, the dynamic polarization curve shows the silver-alloyed stainless steel with a slightly lower of corrosion resistance in comparison with the original stainless steel as the Icorr values have increased from 1.43μA/cm2 316L to 2.70μA/cm2 Ag0.5%. 唐自 標 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 100 zh-TW
