| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 資訊工程系研究所 === 99 === The objective of this thesis is to study the strategiey of resource allocation for GPRS downlink traffic, and to evaluate system performance under various traffic conditions. According to the degree of handover call protection, we propose three radio-block based resource allocation strategies, which is Complete Sharing, Guard Channel, and External Blocking.
By building analytical model and software simulation, we evaluate the influence of offered load on utilization, blocking probability, and dropping probability for different strategies. We found that the utilization for different strategies is not much different. We can select appropriate strategies and the corresponding parameter combination based on the acceptable blocking probability and dropping probability.
