All related patents were collected, classified, and analyzed to provide reference direction of a new drain valve to achieve the functions of low flow speed. The suitable drain valve activating pattern was obtained through design requirements, design constraints and calculated pressure change. CAD software was used to construct computer model and to ensure interference-free situation and secure sealing of sealing elements. CAE software was employed for stress analysis to avoid the risk of high-pressure explosion. A prototype was built and tested. Discussions of testing results were conducted to advantage following research.
