| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 99 === Sonata form appeared in the Baroque period, its standard form structure was established in the Classical period, and was developed to the height in nineteenth century Romantic period. Franz Liszt(1811-1886), was one of the most famous composer in Romantic period. His daring, innovative music thoughts and radical, modern point of view were esteemed and depreciated at the same time back in his time. The Piano Sonata in B Minor is the only piano sonata of Liszt, and it has been popularly performed and extensively analyzed piece ever since.
This thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter delineates the motive, process and goal of this study; Liszt's background and his legendary life story in the second. The third chapter would be the discussion of the characteristic of Liszt's piano music, and analyze in depth on the Piano Sonata in B Minor in the forth chapter; the last chapter is the conclusion, which may hopefully benefit the writer’s performance of this work in the future.
