碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 動畫藝術與影像美學研究所 === 99 === This thesis is the according and process of my animation creation, “The Metamorphosis”, and study on aesthetics and symbols of Chinese ink painting animation. Through the process of animation creation, it is not just brush like ink painting simply, but also need to understand the implication behind the graphic. Introduction of the first chapter is to explore the history of traditional animation, and the scope extends to Chinese ink painting animation. And it is to explore my learning experience of painting and animation. The second chapter discusses the creative motivation and meaning of animation creation “The Metamorphosis”, through Kafka's "Metamorphosis" the original, and establish the link with the original and adaptation, including the story structure analysis. The third chapter organizes the design and visual style of this work, including the production process. The fourth chapter is research and analysis on the aesthetic and symbolic of Chinese ink animation, and creation under the context. Finally, the fifth chapter is author's reflection of creation, and the prospect of Taiwan independent animators as the conclusions.
