Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 藝術與人文教育研究所 === 99 === The research investigates the influence of socioeconomic background on the junior high school student music learning in Yilan County, and discusses the affect of the cultural background and other factors on the students’ music learning the present situation. The researcher used a specially prepared, “Survey Form on Socioeconomic Status and music learning”, In this study, stratified cluster sampling were used to select the seventh and eighth grade, 729 students of Yilan County junior high school to conduct a questionnaire survey. Collected 699 surveys, of which 96.95% could be used. Moreover, all the data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test statistics, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The conclusions of this research are as follows: 1.The junior high school student socioeconomic status in Yilan County is middle level. 2.The junior high school student music learning in Yilan County is below average. 3.The gender, household income, parents’ education, parents’ occupational type, parents’ expectations, and socioeconomic status were found to be correlated with the students’ level of music learning. 4.Location of residence, and parents’ discipline attitude were found to be correlated with the students’ level of instrument skill. 5.Mothers’ expectations was able to serve as a large proportion predictive indicator for music learning. Based on the conclusions of this research, recommendations are provided to educational institutions, junior high school, music teachers, and future researchers.
