The main method used was questionnaire survey supported by interviews. This study obtained 143 valid questionnaires, and the collected data were processed by descriptive statistics, t-test, and one-way ANOVA. Results of this study were as follows: 1. The practice of leisure education of the special education in vocational high schools (1) Teachers held high level of recognition of the views for leisure education, agreeing that leisure education had positive goals and brought benefits. (2) Teachers agreed that the practice of leisure education should take students’ ability as the main consideration, in order to adjust and integrate the use of resources. (3) School administration was able to provide necessary support for the practice of leisure education, but it could improve the provision of equipment and human resources. (4) The practice of leisure education of teachers could meet the requirements in the content of leisure education, and diversity of activities were taken into account. (5) The use of resources in teaching was relatively low. Teacher used community space and facilities most frequently, while they seldom invited family members to participate in the activities. 2. The difference in the practice of leisure education performed by special education teachers in vocational high schools with different backgrounds (1) Teachers with different backgrounds caused no significant difference in the overall practice of leisure education. (2) Teachers in different categories of schools showed a significant difference in the practice of leisure education on teaching resources, especially in the aspect of “teaching resources.” Finally, suggestions for the educational administrations, school personnel, teachers, and researches were presented for further studies.
