Methods: The participants were 298 aboriginal high school students in Taipei City and Taipei County. The students completed personal and family data as well as aboriginal student career perception and development scale; data were analyzed with frequency distribution and percentage. Factor impacts of gender were tested using independent sample t-test. Personal background and family structure factors were analyzed using one-way ANOVA. Results: 1. Most of the participants are from Amis tribe (51.7%) in middle socioeconomic class (55%). Parents are mostly in tolerance discipline (60.7%). Cohabitation accounts for 76.5% in the parents’ martial status. 2. Junior high school students have better career plans than counterparts at senior high school. More parents use neglect discipline than authority, autocracy and tolerance discipline in career planing. Low education expectation group have higher scores in self-perception than high and middle expectation groups. 3. Male aborigine adolescent athletes are less sensitive than women in career development education. Families in low socioeconomic status have greater career perception than those in middle and high statuses. Number of cohabitants in parent marital status is higher than that in divorce and other two groups.
