Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立陽明大學 === 生物醫學影像暨放射科學系暨研究所 === 99 === Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a relatively new three-dimensional imaging technology. The appearance of CBCT brings tremendous influences in dental imaging. Three-dimensional X-ray tomographic imaging started in the 1980s, owing to the needs of clinical diagnosis and treatment, and it grows up rapidly since then. Recently, the application of three-dimensional imaging plays an important role in dentistry because it has been specifically developed for imaging teeth and jaws, and also brings better image quality with the advances of hardware and reconstruction software. Our objective was to develop an improved analytical reconstruction method and an iterative reconstruction method to provide even better image quality than most of the commercial ones based on computer simulation and physical phantom evaluation. Our results show thatour reconstruction method is feasible for general dental CBCT.
