Therefore, it is concerned problem of managers to allocate effectively the existing limited resource of surgery room and reduce the overcrowding of recovering room that delay the surgical scheduling. For these studies of the operating scheduling in the nation, they concern less about the affect of the time that patients stay in the recovery room. Hence this study uses the hospital as an example and focuses mainly on the neurosurgery, the recovery room of which is overcrowded most easily. The study collects the related data of surgery in the hospital, makes the procedure and policies of surgery, and establishes the practices of surgery in real situation via simulation technique in order to find out the limited resource of the system. Besides, according to the past data on the numbers of operating patients in the hospital, the study verifies the data and modifies repeatedly the system to make the system closer to the real situation, meanwhile, also measures the performance and coordinates with system simulation to figure out the bottleneck station for improvement. The decision maker can take the result of this study as reference to reduce the overcrowding of recovery room and avoid to delay the surgery scheduling.
