The participants were forty-five junior high school English teachers in Yunlin County. The data were collected from the questionnaire, classroom observation and semi-structured interview. The findings were that higher reading awareness English teachers were well aware of students’ reading difficulties and demonstrated more strategies to guide students to learn to read.
