Promotion of the policy in the hospital is significantly different from before. In addition to clinical expertise, management performance indicators have been gradually emphasized in each department of hospitals. By establishing sound criteria for evaluation of operating performance, we aimed to assist the management of hospital pharmacy department. Regional teaching hospitals of Yunlin, and Chiayi were included in this study. Performance indicators of hospital pharmacy management and the weight mode were accessed by Analytic Hierarchy Process. The result herein would provide pharmacy department managers the effectively useful management performance indicators to achieve the work objectives. The significant results were as follows: 1.The indicators for evaluation of the performance of hospital pharmacy management include four dimensions and twenty-three performance indicators. 2.From pharmacy department managers of Yunlin, Chiayi regional teaching hospitals point of view, the importance order of the dimensions and performance weight is: "Customer Perspective"( Weight: 0.379), "Financial Perspective"( Weight: 0.255), "Internal Business Perspective "( Weight: 0.217),"Learning and Innovation Perspective "( Weight: 0.149). 3.Indicators of the top five performance indicators are as follows: personnel turnover rate (Weight: 0.081), external customer satisfaction (Weight: 0.080), new staff training (Weight: 0.068), the amount of pharmaceutical services (Weight: 0.067), deletion rate of nuclear medicines (Weight: 0.060).
