Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 全球運籌管理研究所碩士班 === 99 === In future business operation, the outcomes and efficiency of projects indicate the development trend and competitiveness. Therefore, increasing the success rate of project implementation, effectively controlling costs, enhancing quality, controlling schedule and using limited resources become the critical issues for firms. According to domestic and foreign studies, the firms’ successful implementation of project management can enhance project scheduling performance by 34%, increase budget performance by 30%, enhance customer satisfaction by 18%, reduce objective change by 34%, reduce process errors by 31% and reduce project risk by 24%. Effective control of projects will rely on the related software for managing the business and process. This study treated patent documents of the U.S. as subjects. By Patent Guider 2008 developed by Learningtech Corp. as online searching tool, this study searched USPTO and analyzed number of patents, inventors, citation rate, nations, firms and IPC. Upon interview with experts, the researcher intended to recognize the current development of project management software by the three methods above in order to predict future technical development and trend. Analytical result showed that the U.S. has the most number of patents of project management software, (111 patents). In terms of technical efficacy, internet, messages and rapid construction of communication are the most. It matches the importance (80% time) of project managers’ managerial communication. Technical analysis results include four periods: cloud technique of patent at early stage, employee management, encryption, automatic collaboration of patent technique at introduction stage, immediate virtual collaborative conference, expenditure management and tracking, online operation and user search of patent technique at growth stage, system management, electronic document management framework and analysis, multi-organization project management, earned value of patent technique at mature stage, work breakdown structure and immediate drawing message. Research findings indicate that current technical development of project management software is based on online operation and user search, system management, electronic document management framework and analysis, multi-organization project management, earned value, work breakdown structure and immediate drawing message.Expert interviews also found that if cloud computing technology implement global resource sharing, department collaboration, reduce IT staff,multi-point conference and communication platform using in business will reduse business costs. Cloud technique, employee management and encryption can be the focus in future studies.
