Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 犯罪防治研究所 === 100 === The purpose of the study was to investigate relationships among students’ classroom climate, academic performance and deviant behaviors. The subjects of this study were fifth and sixth graders from the public elementary school in Chiayi County. With the use of stratified cluster sampling, questionnaires were handed out to 630 students, of which 582 were valid, with a ratio of 96.36%. This study employs the questionnaires with the use of the self-compiled classroom climate scale and deviant behavior scale. Statistical methods, such as mean value, standard deviation, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis, were used to analyze the collected data. The conclusions of this study were as follows: 1. students in the elementary school perceived that the overall classroom climate was good, and the parts of “free expressions"and “harmony"got the highest and lowest scores. 2. The percentage of deviant behavior from the students is low. However, the part of“illegal behaviors"is higher than other parts. 3. There is no significant difference of students’ classroom climate between different sex and grades. Among them, the most frequently behaviors are“illegal behaviors". 4. There is a significant difference of academic performance among students, the academic performance of girls is significantly higher than that of boys. However, there is no significant difference of academic performance between different grades. 5. There is significant difference of deviant behaviors among students, the deviant behavior of girls is significantly higher than that of boys. However, there is no significant difference of students’ academic performanc between different grades 6. There is no significant correlation between classroom climate and academic performance. 7. There is a negative significant correlation between classroom climate and deviant behaviors. 8. There is a negative significant correlation between academic performance and deviant behaviors. 9. The factors of classroom climate could be effectively predicted upon academic performance and deviant behaviors. “free expressions” is the most powerful factor to explain the academic performance and deviant behaviors. Finally, according to the findings of this study, the research provides suggestions for educational organization, elementary teachers and futher studies.
