The online KTV system has become one of leisure entertainments for many people. The currently-available network KTV system has developed a wide range of diversified features, including monthly database updating, singing tool enhancement, social network integration, etc. However, the commercial online KTV systems still do not provide real-time duet. This missing function is a great shortcoming of services for online KTV. Therefore, this work has successfully developed an interactive network KTV system via which users located at different places can sing a song together. Experimental results demonstrate that our system via the NTP server synchronization yields a time error between the users playing karaoke KTV less than 60ms, which meet the Haas effect of that humans can tolerate delay time difference smaller than 100ms. Real-time duet function and the other corresponding applications provide users with high levels of interactivity and entertainment. With the proposed online box, users can conduct real-time video chats or to find duet partners, which makes the system easily engaged and used.
