The study has investigated the mobile phones behavior of junior high school, the relationships of the mobile phones behavior and the performance in school by questionnaire survey. The survey was conducted in one public junior high school in Chang-hwa County. 406 valid questionnaires were collected. Statistics soft of SPSS 12.0 was applied to analyze the data. Results were through descriptive statistics, Chi-square test as well as one-way ANOVA. The conclusion of the study shows: 1. On the mobile phone experience, the higher grades are more than the lower grades. The age of the using mobile phone is decreasing. 2. On the time spent on the mobile phone, boys are more than girls. Boys spent more time on the mobile phones. 3. On the object of using mobile phone, boys use the mobile phone to friends or classmates. Girls use the mobile phone to the parents. The higher grades use the mobile phone to friends or classmates and the lower grades use the mobile phone to the parents. 4. The academic performance showed a significant relation to the cost of monthly mobile phone bills and the time spent on the mobile phone. The higher mobile phone bill and the more time spent on the mobile phone have a signigicant impact on the academic performance. 5. A significant relation has been found between the time spent on the mobile phone and the moral performance. The more time the students spent on the mobile phone, the more impact on the moral performance. Based on the conclusions, this study proposes some suggestions for paretns and school institutions.
