Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 資訊管理學系碩士班 === 100 === In the Internet era, doing business through e-commerce websites has become one of the key competitive advantages. A successful e-commerce website is not only an interface for the users. The web content and web navigation architectures are also important factors in the web site design. Moreover, without good navigation structures, the user can not access the complete content and can be lost or get confused in the website. It may cause loss of customers or users. Different types of e-commerce websites should provide different functions and navigation solutions to the users. To improve the overall quality of e-commerce websites and to reduce development time and risk, the project development team has to select the right navigation architecture and strategy. This research analyzes and makes recommendations on navigation strategies for the basic web site structure as well as individual functions. The website interface design, content and interaction are the important factors for the basic web site structure. The trading mechanism, community capacity, and marketing capacity are the main issues for individual functions. Based on the proposed model, we construct a framework to help website designers determine the navigation architectures. This framework has three characteristics. First, the Analytic Network Process is used to define correlation and dependencies among requirements of e-commerce websites. Different parameters can be defined for different e-commerce websites. Second, the user preference of website navigation is adopted as a part of the analysis process. Third, the dependencies among requirements of e-commerce websites are set by website design experts. Based on the proposed framework, this study introduces a configurable e-commerce website navigation analysis platform. This platform includes various modules to be used by different stakeholders. Web users input user preference and store them in the database. Website design experts define the requirement factors and dependencies for various types of e-commerce sites. Depending on the type and functionality of the e-commerce website, the platform provides a set navigation solutions to the website designer. With the help of this analytical platform, website designers can find the most suitable and useful navigation architectures which can improve the overall quality of the website.
