In spite of the growth of elder and disabled populations, the disease patterns change concomitantly. With all these alterations, the demand of health care workers increases progressively. Domestic caregivers are much fewer than foreign ones due to the relative lower socioeconomic state of the job in Taiwan. The amount of foreign caregivers in Taiwan has been increased rapidly to more than 100,000 people. This article is meant to study the job stress, emotional labor, job satisfaction and the intention to retain the job of the foreign caregivers in the long-term care institutions. With these personal factors being analyzed, the cost of the institution may be reduced and the quality of service may be improved. Without previous studies discussing the aforementioned subjects, this study evaluates the relationship among the job stress, emotional labor, job satisfaction and the intention to retain the job of the foreign caregivers in the 38 long-term care institutions in Chia-yi area. . Ⅱ This research selects the questionnaire survey method to carry on the real diagnosis, altogether provides 180 questionnaires, recycling effective questionnaire 162, This research obtained material use narrative material analysis methods by descriptive statistical analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, validity analysis and regression analysis. The results of this study are as following: (1) Stress and satisfaction of job have a significant positive impact on intention to stay. (2) Emotional labor and job satisfaction have a positive significant impact on intention to stay. (3) Intermediary analysis of working pressure through job satisfaction.has the most significant impact on intention to Retention (4) Intermediary analysis of emotional labor, through job satisfaction has significantly influenced the intention to Retention
